Vascular Access

Vascular Access

For some disease processes, patients need a more permanent method of delivering drugs or nutrients directly into the blood stream. Surgeons perform what is called “vascular access” to give those in need direct access into the large veins in the body. Contemporary vascular access devices usually can be placed under the skin so that normal activities including bathing are possible.

Your Loveland Surgical Associates surgeon has multiple approaches to vascular access and will review these with those in need of this service.
