Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are dilated veins that often cause fatigue in the legs, or even pain.
The surgeons of Loveland Surgical Associates offer different options for treatment of varicose veins. Historically treated by removal of the involved veins (vein stripping), varicose veins can now often be treated by less-invasive ablation techniques. Other procedures include sclerotherapy for smaller varicose veins, where the vein is injected with a chemical that scars the inside of the veins, causing them to close. Finally, a micro-phlebectomy may be performed to remove the vein altogether for smaller veins. Please consult with your Loveland Surgical Associates surgeon for your best option.
