Colon Polyps
Polyps are growths that occur on the inner lining of the colon. Most often, colon polyps are non-cancerous, but certain types of polyps can grow large and are at risk of becoming cancerous. Most polyps can be removed during routine colonoscopy with your gastroenterologist. At times, a polyp may be too large to be removed through a colonoscope, or it may show some precancerous changes on pathologic evaluation and surgical resection may be needed to adequately treat the problem.
The surgeons at Loveland Surgical Associates approach colon resection through laparoscopic, robotic, and traditional methods and will review your options during an in office consultation of your problem.
